Dr. Malinda is the Coordinator of Child Development Programme and the Postgraduate Education Programme at Daystar University, Kenya. She has been involved in work with children and family development ministries for over 10 years in Kenya and across Africa. She was the coordinator of Child Development Ministry with Diocese of Machakos in the 90's and the Eastern Provincial Coordinator for the National Aids Control Council training and awareness in the early 2000's. She has served as an effective consultant for strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation and is an effective project manager with a number of honors on her head.
She holds a prestigious Doctorate Degree in Education & Child Development from University of Osnabruck in Germany and a Master of Arts Degree in International Child Development and Welfare from the University of Anglia in the United Kingdom. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from University of Nairobi. She has studied, taught and researched widely in the areas of children with special needs and community integration. .

Dr. Malinda is currently spearheading a global initiative to Holistic Child Development of children. She is the University's mantle in the national, continental and global consortiums advancing Holistic Child Development in the academic and theological formation at theological colleges. (Daystar is currently the only university in Africa offering this discipline at Masters Level). Dr. Malinda is currently the secretary of the African Holistic Child Development Consortium and a member of the Global Child Development Consortium.  Besides, she initiated and coordinates a Mentorship Programme at Daystar University together with her colleagues.
