The distant learning option has two modes of implementation. The first is the modular or block release programme where students do self study modules comprising learning notes, learning activities and assessment exercises online. Most modules are designed to be completed in 5- 10 weeks but students can work through the learning materials at their own pace. The second is study on part-time basis and a visit to the campus two to four times a year for a study school that starts on Friday evening and ends on the next Saturday evening (7 days of 8 hours class contact per module). We want to offer our students an opportunity to pursue their academic aims with a University whose quality they can be assured of and whose academic credentials are impeccable and marketable in the job market. This mode is the perfect solutions for students both in urban as well as in rural areas who are unable to attend lectures on campus, or who require some degree of flexibility in the way in which they study a course -i.e. students who travel, at home parents, and students living in remote locations. We are delighted to welcome you to our study programmes. To apply online, find more information at admissions@daystar.ac.ke |
