B.A Degree in Social Work..

The BA Social Work degree programme is accredited by the Commission for Higher Education is designed to introduce students to a broad range of social work theory, policy and practice.  Students are equipped with right understanding of  the theoretical foundations of social work that are mainly rooted in  psychology, sociology and theology of mission to children and families.

With this foundation, students are able to understand the social policy and the legal context, especially  the national and international statutory provisions regarding child care and protection, health and caring for adults and children at risk.

Students in the programme acquire a professional qualification and a body of knowledge and skills that will open a wide range of exciting, rewarding and challenging employment opportunities mainly in in human service professions.

1 Among these skills that students acquire include:  knowledge and skills  required to working with individuals, families, groups, fellow social workers and other professionals with commitment and integrity.
