Welcome to our Children's Ministry...

A Welcome Message from the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Timothy Wachira

Our commitment to offer training in Children Ministry is a response to our Lord’s invitation to place a child in the midst of our academic mandate. We are demonstrating our love to children as there is nothing more fulfilling than to help a child to grow in the ways of the lord (“in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and men” ( Luke 2:52).

As an academic institution, we are joining other institutions to fulfilling our Mission to train Christian Professionals to impact into the lives of children for eternity as commanded of us in...

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 "And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart; you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up."

The Children’s Ministry program at Daystar University aims to be a resource to support churches, children, parents, families and academic institutions as they train and encourage children to grow in Christian maturity. We aim to provide training that is relevant, exciting, Christ centered and culturally sensitive to help children learn to:

  • Develop a healthy relationship with Jesus
  • See themselves as Christ sees them
  • Worship God
  • Make Christ-like decisions in their daily lives

Our desire to provide the ministry to children training is to provide tools of ministry for those who are involved with the training of children in the church, family, school and in institutions and organizations dealing with children. Many times the resources to help in the ministry to children can lack, and it is our prayer that the Lord is using this training to support  Children Ministries.

The Children's Ministry has a great team who love God and working with children. This ministry offers programs that are designed to educate and equip our clients to excel in their work with children.  We want to enable Christian leaders to capture the imagination of children of all ages and set them on a course to transform the world for them.  It is our goal to partner with churches and families in order to bring every child the knowledge of Jesus Christ and more importantly, to a personal relationship with Him.

By training with us, you will acquire basic necessary skills of teaching the gospel to children in a way that is exciting, encouraging in an age-appropriate manner. We equip our clients with the necessary tools to help children lead a life free from the entanglements of sin and to lead them to grow spiritually.
Further, we strive to teach our clients the importance of hiding God’s word in their hearts and the blessings that come from knowing God and passing this invaluable knowledge to children, as this is God’s command to mankind. On overall, you will gain insightful knowledge on ways to enhance family unity and on strategies to help institutions to spearhead spiritual growth of children to excel in school and to enter the kingdom of God.

We welcome you to our ministry!
